The Pioneer Day parade of 1947 was epic

Old timers will argue that the biggest Pioneer Day parade of them all took place 71-years ago.

That’s because it was 1947—the 100th anniversary of the LDS pioneers arriving in the Salt Lake Valley. Dozens of state governors, bands from all over and even cars made up to look like ox-drawn wagons paraded through Utah.
