UPDATE: Fire Canyon Fire now 25% contained

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah (ABC4 News) – The Fire Canyon Fire has currently burned an estimated 1,460 acres and is 25% contained.

Officials say despite being challenged by steep, rugged terrain and dry fuel, conditions crews are making great progress. The closure of the Henefer-Echo Wildlife Management Area remains in place.

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah (ABC4 News) – The Fire Canyon Fire was mopped at 1,460 acres as of Sunday morning.

The fire is at 10% containment and fire crews are working to suppress hot spots, according to fire officials.

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah (ABC4 News) – Fire crews are working to suppress a wildfire in Summit County.

The fire is estimated at 500 acres and has been dubbed the Fire Canyon Fire.

No structures have been threatened as a result of the fire. The fire was human-caused and fire officials are still investigating the cause.
