SALT LAKE COUNTY (ABC4 News) – Utah Highway Patrol shared yet another reminder of how drivers should approach winter weather driving.
Troopers said as of 5 p.m. Friday, they had investigated 146 crashes and slide-offs.
They shared these quick tips for safe travel:
- Increase your following distance
- Be sure your tires have sufficient tread for wet, slick and icy roads
- SLOW DOWN in inclement weather
It rained much of the day Friday, but a cold front slid in during the afternoon hours changing rain to snow, making for the messy commute.
