One in every four Americans has arthritis – 400,000 in Utah

SANDY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) –  May is Arthritis Awareness Month. Nationally, one in four Americans has Arthritis with two-thirds of those people being under the age of 65. In Utah, nearly 400,000 people suffer with Arthritis and of those, approximately 3,000 are children. It’s a disabling disease that impacts many Utahns.

Arthritis Warriors will gather on Saturday, May 4th at Bicentennial Park in Sandy for Walk to Cure Arthritis, hosted by the Utah Arthritis Foundation. You can form and register a team or join and support a team that is already set up.

ABC4 Utah is a proud supporter of this event. ABC4 News anchor and chief medical correspondent, Surae Chinn, will serve as emcee of the walk. ABC4 Utah has a team and invites you to join our efforts. Come walk with us! Registration is free.

Day of registeration begins at 9 a.m. with the walk starting at 10 a.m. in Sandy.
