ELKO, Nev. (ABC4 News) A woman was found dead in a hot spring near Elko Tuesday morning.

Elko police officers responded to a call at the Hot Hole located off of Bullion Road just before 11 a.m.

Police said an out of town family had stopped to view the hot holes and saw the body in the water.

The body of a woman was located, believed to be an Elko resident.

Identification is being withheld pending confirmation and notification of next of kin. The death is still under investigation, but police said there were no indicators of foul play.

“As a reminder, this is not the first death at this location, water temperatures vary in the pool and can overcome anyone within it. This area is fenced with signage to keep all person out for their own safety,” said Elk Police Department in a statement.
