President Truman asked that we all remember VJ Day (Victory over Japan Day), September 2nd, 1945. We also know where World War II started for America. It was at Pearl Harbor. It ended with the Japanese surrendering aboard the USS Missouri but few know that the “Mighty Mo” is now a historic relic too.
Craig Wirth was there when the ship was decommissioned 26 years ago—and takes to the deck where VJ Day took place.
