WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – Winter clothes are heading for the homeless at the Road Home downtown, thanks to volunteers from a church.

The World Mission Society Church of God set up at the West Valley Walmart all day. Dozens of people stopped by to donate winter clothing items. The church focuses on volunteer community service here and around the world.

Clarissa Alfaro says, “We’re really hoping to collect these types of essentials so that we can provide it to the homeless who are in need of this because they cannot provide it for themselves.”

They’re partnering with the road home and will make sure all the winter clothing gets to local homeless people struggling in this harsh winter weather.
