SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah)- Rep. Jason Chaffetz’s political announcement has people wondering who will succeed him in District 3.

Here’s what ABC4 has learned about the field of candidates—and possible candidates.

Salt Lake City Doctor Kathyrn Allen is running as a Democrat. She has already raised more than a half a million dollars for her campaign.

American Fork Attorney Damian Kidd announced in January he will be running as a Republican.

Former Presidential Candidate Evan McMullin, Speaker of the House Greg Hughes, State Senator Deidre Henderson, Republican National Committeeman Thomas Wright, and current Provo Mayor John Curtis have all been mentioned as possible candidates.
