TOOELE COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — A man was killed in a crash on State Route 36 in Tooele County Wednesday evening.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, at about 2:55 p.m., a maroon Chevrolet Tahoe was on northbound SR 36, waiting to turn left on westbound Village Blvd. The driver of the Tahoe reportedly hesitated on the left-hand turn and pulled in front of a dump truck that was traveling southbound on SR 36.
The dump truck T-boned the Tahoe and killed the 56-year-old driver. Officials say the dump truck driver was not injured.
The right lane of SR 36 was closed at milepost 61 for about three hours for clean-up and investigation, officials said.
The crash remains under investigation, UHP reported.
