PROVO, Utah (ABC4) — SR-189 in Provo Canyon has been closed due to an avalanche, according to Utah Highway Patrol.
The avalanche reportedly occurred near milepost 17 at Deer Creek. UHP says the slide happened during avalanche control mitigation.
UHP says the road may be closed for another 45 minutes while crews clear snow from the road.
