Volunteers give haircuts to the homeless community

News

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (ABC4 Utah) – Can you feel the love down at the homeless shelter on Rio Grande?

The homeless outside The Road Home sure can. More than 200 volunteers are trying to make a difference for those down and out on their luck. It’s called ‘CARE-cuts’. Helping the homeless feel better about themselves.

Tara Starling, with ‘CARE-cuts’, “We have people washing hair, cutting hair, barbering, styling hair, doing nails and makeovers so they can get the entire treatment head to toe, the goal is just to remind them that regardless of what their circumstances are , they’re human beings of value.”
