The Red Cross is recognizing everyday heroes in our community. Josh Hansen is an ordinary person doing extraordinary things.
Richard Woodruff with the Utah Red Cross joined Good Morning Utah, along with Josh, to talk about how the two-tour Iraq war veteran is making a difference.
Josh was an IED hunter while he was deployed. He was wounded in Action (WIA) in 2007 and medevac’d out of Iraq to recover from injuries. Josh’s battalion lost six men while in combat, and three from his company. Once home, four committed suicide.
Upon returning to the United States, Josh founded a non-profit called Continued Mission. The organization serves injured or suicidal Veterans.
