SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – During the 4th annual Women’s Entrepreneurial Conference held Wednesday in Holladay, $19,500 in grants were awarded to 23 women business owners to help them grow their businesses.
The winners of the grants were selected from 115 applications received from women business owners from across the state. The 23 winners were selected and asked to prepare a three-minute presentation of their pitch. Pitches were focused on their opportunities, how they would spend a $5,000 grant and what the potential for growth could be.
“The Utah Women’s Networking Group is honored to be a small piece of each woman’s journey who participate in the conference. Connecting them with and providing resources can make a big impact,” Karin Palle, Executive Director of the Utah Women’s Networking Group said. “These small grants tell women business owners we believe in them and that they can conquer the world.”
