Two Utah sisters are hoping the Japanese legend that says if you fold 1000 cranes you get a wish and good fortune is true.
Sam, 11 years old, and Jo, 8 years old, have been folding paper cranes for four months.
In the beginning, they began folding with the goal of reaching 1,989 paper cranes in order to get Taylor Swift’s attention and get tickets to Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour.
Things changed when the girls heard the news of Andrea Swift’s (Taylor’s mom) cancer diagnosis. Sam and Jo switched their wish from tickets to a wish for Taylor’s mom to get better.
