Utah Fundraiser For Children Affected with CMV

The Utah CMV Council will host its first annual “End CMV Silence Gala” fundraising event on February 27, 2015 at the Utah State Capitol Rotunda. Proceeds from the gala will underwrite an advertising and public awareness campaign for CMV (cytomegalovirus) awareness and education.
According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), CMV DISABLES 1 CHILD EVERY HOUR in the United States. It is more common than well-known disability-causing conditions such as Down Syndrome, spina bifida and fetal alcohol syndrome, but women are largely unaware of the virus and the measures that can be taken to prevent harmful effects in unborn children.
