UPDATED: Man found by boater floating in Pineview Reservoir identified


UPDATE; Weber County Sheriff’s Office have identified the man found floating in Pineview Reservoir Saturday morning. 

44-year-old Jason Sullivan from Ogden was found around 10:45 a.m. near the shoreline by Port Ramp on the west side of the lake. Weber County Search and Rescue were already at the lake conducting a training and were able to recover the body in a short time. 

Detectives do not suspect foul play at this time. An investigation is being conducted and there is limited information as to why Sullivan was at the lake. 

There are no further details at this time. 



WEBER COUNTY, Utah (ABC4 News) – A boater found a man’s body floating in Pineview Reservoir in Weber County Saturday morning.

According to Weber County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Matt Jensen, the boater called around 10:45 a.m. and said he found a body floating face down near the dock on the west end of the water. 

Deputies said the man is in his 40s, but they are not releasing his name pending notification of next of kin.

Foul play is not suspected, it is being treated as a drowning at this time until the autopsy is done by the medical examiner.
