UPDATE: Officials recover body of missing man at Gunlock State Park


WASHINGTON COUNTY (ABC4 News) Officials located the body of a Logan, Utah man who went missing Friday afternoon at Gunlock State Park after jumping from a waterfall.

Police say 26-year-old Brandon Gary Johnson disappeared after he jumped from the top of a waterfall and had failed to resurface.  Investigators at the scene state Johnson died from the impact, but the incident remains under investigation.  Gunlock State Park is approximately 20 miles northwest of St. George.

Johnson is from Logan, but spent the last four months working as a foreman in Washington County.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County Search, and Rescue as well as the Utah State Parks Rangers and all assisted in the search.
