Update: Escaped Capital Murder Suspect Caught in Hot Spring County

Update (10:55 a.m.):
MALVERN, AR — A capital murder suspect who escaped Sunday night is reported to have been caught this morning.

The Hot Spring County Sheriff’s Office says Cornell Huell, 24 was captured in the city of Malvern and is being taken back to jail. 

Original story (4:30 a.m.):
MALVERN, AR — A murder suspect has escaped from the Hot Spring County Jail.

Cornell Huell, 24, is accused of killing Jason Stovall, 33, and shooting Stovall’s girlfriend in the face.

He was last seen in the Perla area near the jail on Sunday night. 

Hot Spring County authorities say if you have any information about Huell to please call 911.

Huell is facing charges of capital murder, attempted capital murder and aggravated robbery.
