Woman falls in Big Cottonwood Canyon

BIG COTTONWOOD CANYON – Rescue crews responded to the Storm Mountain area of Big Cottonwood Canyon shortly after 5 p.m.

They assisted in the rescue of a 20-year-old woman who fell 50 feet while rock climbling.

After crews located the woman, she was life-flighted to a local hospital where she has critical but non-life threating injuries.

The woman’s name has not been released.
