WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC4 News) – The family and friends of a West Jordan woman killed by her ex-husband this week has planned a vigil in her honor Friday night.

The vigil is planned for 8 p.m. at Woodcove Park located at 7950 South 2700 West. The park is located next to West Jordan High School and friends, family and all those wishing to attending can park in the parking lot of the school.

Jill Lloyd,36, was gunned down by her ex Andrew Larsen, 33, on Wednesday morning near 7800 South 2700 West. Lloyd was in a custody dispute with Larsen over their son, and was working on getting more visitation with her son according to her family. Larson later killed himself before police could take him into custody.

Amy Horsley, Lloyd’s friend and neighbor said Lloyd was a loving, beautiful, funny, tenacious and forthright person.

“She loved her son with all that she was,” Horsley said. “She loved her fiance’ Nic, step daughter Emery, two dogs, parents, sister, nieces and new nephew. She loved life.”

A GofundMe page has been created to help the family pay for Lloyd’s funeral.
