Suspect and victim named in WVC shooting, suspect behind bars

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC4) – The suspect in fatal shooting in West Valley City over the weekend has been arrested. 

Police arrested 36-year-old Marshall Herron in the shooting death of 35-year-old Jason Bull of West Valley on Sunday morning. 

Bull was found dead Sunday morning after police say he was shot multiple times by Herron at 4274 W 4695 S in West Valley City at 2:15 am Sunday morning. 

Another victim was transported to the hospital after with one gunshot. The man who was taken to the hospital received one gunshot wound. He’s in good condition and is expected to live. 

Three or four other males were arrested in connection with the case. 

Police suspect the incident was not gang related and they believe it is an alcohol-related. 

All of the suspects and victims were in their 30s.
