Police looking for suspect in Nephi armed bank robbery

NEPHI, Utah (ABC4 News) – Police are looking to identify a man wanted in connection with an armed bank robbery in Nephi Tuesday evening. 

Nephi City Chief of Police Michael H. Morgan said Juab County dispatch received a hold up alarm from the Wells Fargo Bank located at 3 North Main St. at 5:01 p.m. 

When officers arrived on scene a minute later, they were told a man had just robbed the bank with a gun and ran from the bank back behind nearby businesses. The area was searched but police were unable to locate the suspect. 

He is described as a white male, 5 foot 8 inches tall, weighing approximately 175 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, blue jeans, white shoes and a white bandana. He was carrying a large caliber handgun. 

No one was injured in the robbery and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken by the suspect.
