Police investigate shooting in Provo

PROVO, Utah (ABC4) – 22-year-old Robbie Heiner was shot once in the chest in a house on Friday evening around 6:40 pm at 155  s 600 w in Provo.

Robbie fled to a neighbor’s home for help, according to Provo Police Department. Those neighbors took him in and called the police.

He is being treated for a single gunshot wound to the chest at Utah Valley Hospital. His condition is unknown. 

The shooting occurred at a house where Robbie and Caleb were guests at their friend’s house when a confrontation broke out between them.That conflict allegedly ended with Caleb pulling out a gun and shooting Robbie. 

Provo police officers took a total of three people into custody and arrested 22-year-old Caleb Plainer on charges of attempted murder. Detectives recovered a weapon at the scene. 

Caleb was booked into Utah County Jail for Attempted Murder charge. Police say this is the first time they’ve dealt with him.
