Police identify man wanted for robbing two banks in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – Police in Salt Lake have identified a man they were looking for involved in two robberies in the last three weeks.

Police say they are looking for 27-year-old John Capito. He is suspected in connection to a robbery at a Key Bank at 290 South 1300 East on Monday just before 3 p.m. Officials say Capito handed a note to the teller demanding cash. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, Capito left in an unknown direction.

He is also a suspect in another robbery on May 31st at a Zion’s Bank located at 701 East 400 South.
