Police discover car that was involved in WVC hit-and-run, they say

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah-(ABC4)-West Valley City Police Department impounded a black Lexus sedan on Friday that they believed a suspect used in an intentional auto-ped homicide on Wednesday at the corner of 4100 S and 3600 W in West Valley City. 

Police discovered the vehicle on a residential street in Taylorsville Friday evening. No one was in the car when it was found. They are still looking for the suspect, who is either a white or Hispanic male in his 20s or 30s, who they say drove the black sedan. 

Police identified the victim as 47-year-old Jeremy Hardman of West Valley City. He was hit while he was in a crosswalk. 

Hardman and a friend of Hardman had a fight with the suspect got in his car, made a U-turn and hit Hardman as he was in a crosswalk, police said. 

This is an active homicide case and investigators are taking tips from the public.
