One dead, two injured in West Jordan apartment fire

WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – Fire crews have confirmed that one person is dead and two are injured after a fire broke out at a West Jordan apartment complex Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the Daybreak Hills Condominium complex at 1300 West Winchester Street shortly after 3 p.m. 

At least six units were destroyed in the fire. 

The deceased individual has been identified as a 66-year-old Judy Pederson. The two injured individuals were taken to an area hospital after they leapt from the top floor of the building to escape the blaze. 

A cause for the fire has not been released.
