LAYTON, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – A local car dealership and an animal care center in Layton have teamed up to help hurricane affected animals find forever homes.

Mike Aguilar, Mark Miller Subaru, said a lot of animals who were displaced, homeless or already in shelters so they teamed up with the Animal Care Center, along with CAWS and other local rescue organizations to bring many of those animals to Layton.

Utah Animal Care Center is providing fee services to the animals such as spay and neutering and providing shots to the animals to ensure they are healthy before being placed for adoption.

Aguilar said many of the animals were found scattered throughout the Houston area, looking for food and shelter.

“There are many different animals they are looking after and all who need homes,” Aguilar said.

“If you are looking for a dog or cat, they ask that you look towards adopting them from the Humane Society or local animal shelters, where these dogs will be taken.”

Agullar says both the Utah Animal Care Center and Mark Miller Subaru made the decision to team up because they just want to help make the world a better place and it’s the right thing to do.
