HONEYVILLE, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – Crews in Box Elder County continue to battle a fire that was started early Sunday afternoon.
The Honeyville Fire is burning in the mountains above the city. The fire started on public land but has since moved onto Forest Service land.
As of 8:45 p.m. Sunday night, the fire has burned 800 acres and is currently 25 percent contained. No structures are threatened at this time and there are no evacuations.
Officials want the public to know they are aware of the fire and that you do not need to call dispatch.
An investigation is ongoing as to how the fire started.
There was a drone spotted flying over the fire earlier. Crews want to remind you it is illegal to fly a drone over an active fire.
