SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – If you were in downtown Salt Lake City, Saturday, and happened to see winter accessories hanging in random places, there’s a reason. It is all part of the 2nd annual ‘Scarfs In The Park’ event.
This year there are over 1300 scarfs, hats and mittens have been donated and hung up for anyone in need. They are located on the west of Liberty Park. They are all FREE and handmade by members of the community.
Volunteers spend the whole making these items that are tagged and then hung on the 1st Saturday of December. If you missed helping this year you can get started for next year by volunteering to knit or crochet scarfs and hats.
