FARMINGTON, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – Today a very special rescue vehicle was unveiled at a very special exotic car show.

The Davis County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue squad held the annual fundraising event to help raise money for the department.

Crews are frequently sent out in bad weather and late at night when family and friends are overdue, so the needs to keep efforts going are great.

“We have a lot of consumables and ropes, webbing, caribeeners, everything that gets used and abused,” said Doug Shipley, Mountain Team Leader for Davis County SAR. ” We have to replace it on an annual basis, and then we have some larger purchases with equipment, and equipment maintenance that these funds will go straight to.”

Honorary Colonels, also known as Honorary Volunteers, set up the event with big Army rigs, Dodge Vipers and Lamborghinis to attract more people.
