The Duchesne County Jail nurse charged in the death of an inmate, made her first court appearance Wednesday.
Jana Clyde is accused of negligent homicide in last year’s death of 21-year-old Madison Jensen.
She was found dead in her cell just days after being arrested on minor drug charges. The medical examiner ruled that Jensen died from extreme dehydration after suffering from severe vomiting and diarrhea in her cell.

Clyde was the nurse on duty and prosecutors claim she did nothing to help the victim, even after she asked for help.
The court meeting Wednesday lasted just a few minutes.
Clyde will be in court on January 4th for a Preliminary Hearing.
