Crowd gathers in Liberty Park for a good cause

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – It was quite a turn out for the Third Annual Food Truck Face Off at Liberty Park.

30 of Utah’s best food trucks were there all day with thousands of people buying tickets for food.

A portion of each ticket went to one of five non-profits including the 4th Street Clinic, Volunteers of America, YWCA, Habitat for Humanity and Utah Community Action.

Laurel Ingham, a volunteer for the 4th street clinic, told Good4Utah, “We’re hoping to get over 15 thousand people here and then split the charity money between all those organizations. All of us are working to end homelessness, work with poverty issues and diversity issues.”

This event raises thousands to help them with their causes.  It’s over for this year, but they’ll be back again next year.
