WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – A known fugitive that slipped away from officers Friday night  has been caught.

37-year-old Jason Guymon was wanted for several outstanding warrants for aggravated assault, stalking, possession of a controlled substance and fleeing from police.

Guymon fled from police after a traffic stop in West Valley City. His car was then spotted abandoned at 8070 West 3370 South in Magna.

A containment was set up and several officers responded in an attempt to capture him but he was able to get away.

Then Wednesday night officers tracked him down. It was a multi-agency operation.

He was arrested near 614 East 600 South.

Officials say after his arrest a search warrant was served on the apartment. Inside they found distributable amounts of meth, heroin, and fraudulent documents.
