SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – Several thousand people had a blast today at The Gateway and you couldn’t help but get in the spirit.

It was the 13th Annual Utah Brazilian Festival today. Around 150 kids and teachers who are part of the Utah Portuguese Dual Language Immersion Program participated in the festivities.

Today’s festival had visitors having a ball.

“We have crowds, all happy people, lots of awesome food, dancers and live bands,” Matilde Wosnjuk with Viva Brazil told Good4Utah. “We are just spending a nice Brazilian day at the plaza.”

The students love marching in the parade and waving American and Brazilian flags. Most of the students are American but take great pride in their relationship to Brazil.
