SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah (News4Utah) –Agents with the State Bureau of Investigation are looking for a driver that may have hit a Salt Lake City man near I-215 southbound in the last three weeks.
On Saturday troopers were called to southbound I-215 close to the 2600 North exit in Salt Lake County around 8:45 a.m. after a construction worker discovered the body of Brennon Robert Day, 29, near the road.
Lt. Todd Royce with Utah Highway Patrol says the injuries on the body are “consistent with what appears to be an auto-pedestrian accident.”
The State Bureau of Investigation is looking for a vehicle that has damage to the right front corner.
Officials say, due to the level of decomposition, they are waiting to receive autopsy results from the medical examiner’s office to identify the cause of death.
Anyone with information is asked to call UHP dispatch at 801-887-3800.
This is a developing story. Good4Utah will have more information as it becomes available.
