TOOELE COUNTY, Utah (ABC4 News) – A 35-year-old man died after being hit head-on in a crash on SR-36 in Tooele County Monday morning.
Utah Highway Patrol said a 60-year-old woman was driving a silver Chevy Truck southbound on SR-36 when she drifted out of her lane and directly into the path of a northbound gold Subaru Impreza, driven by Christopher Bryson of Stansbury Park.
The truck struck the Subaru, impacting the driver’s side of each vehicle before coming to rest in the north bound lanes.
Bryson was flown to the University of Utah in extremely critical condition where he later died. The driver of the Chevy was taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital in fair condition.
SR-36 was closed for several hours while the crash was under investigation.
