MIDVALE, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – A 3-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car in Midvale Sunday afternoon.

Unified Police Lt. Brian Lohrke said the family was visiting and had crossed the street near 900 West and Viewpark Dr. at 4:30 p.m. when the boy turned back and darted out into the street.

Monday police said the boy has no broken bones and does not have a brain injury. He is expected to be okay.

Lohrke said speed does not appear to be a factor and the driver has not been issued a citation stating this appears to just be an unfortunate accident.
