2 killed in small plane crash near Evanston

EVANSTON, Wyoming (News4Utah) – The Uinta County Wyoming Sheriff’s Office confirms a small plane went down outside of Evanston Sunday afternoon.

The crash occurred at 3:07 p.m.

According to Ian Gregor, a spokesman for the FAA, the Socata TBM7 crashed while on approach into Evanston under unknown circumstances. The plane originated from Tulsa, Oklahoma.

There were two people on board the aircraft at the time of the crash.

Officials say the small plane was owned and registered to William Patterson showing an Evanston address. ” Mr. Patterson and his wife Michelle are believed to be the occupants of the plane,” they said.

Both the FAA and the NTSB will be investigating the crash.
