11 residents displaced after early morning apartment fire in Ogden

OGDEN, Utah (ABC4 News) – Nearly a dozen residents have been displaced after an apartment fire in Ogden early Tuesday morning. 

Ogden Fire Department responded to a fire at 1429 E. Canyon Cove at 3:33 a.m. When they arrived they found the fire was in the west stairwell of the building. Crews were able to quickly control the fire and damage was contained to the exterior walls of three stories of the structure. 

In all, 24 units were evacuated, 6 units were damaged and 11 residents were displaced. Red Cross has been called in to assist with the families affected by the fire. 

The fire is still under investigation, a cause has yet to be determined. Damages are estimated at more than $200,000
