NORTH OGDEN, Utah (ABC4 News) One person is dead and another injured after a three car accident in North Ogden Tuesday afternoon.

North Ogden Police Detective Paul Rhoades said the incident happened at 2300 N. Washington Blvd. just after noon when the driver of a Jeep Cherokee turned left off of 2300 N onto 400 East and into the path of a southbound Suzuki Sidekick. The impact caused the driver of the Sidekick to lose control, cross the center median and roll into northbound traffic.

The Suzuki was then hit by a grey Hyundai Sonata that was traveling north on 400 East. The Suzuki came to rest on it’s side and the Hyundai hit a tree.

The adult male driver of the Suzuki was pronounced dead at the scene and the female driver of the Hyundai was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Jeep was not injured. Rhoades said there are possible charges pending the outcome of the investigation.
