LEHI, Utah (ABC4 Utah)- Three suspects have been taken into custody after police say they threatened a homeowner with a gun.
It all started Sunday, August 7th around 11 p.m.
Lehi police officers responded to 400 West 100 South on reports that there were people breaking into a shed located on the property and taking numerous items.
The homeowner told police the suspects knocked on his door and asked for help after they allegedly were experiencing vehicle trouble.
That’s when, according to the homeowner, the suspects threatened he/she with a gun.
Police say the homeowner happened to also be carrying a handgun and fired warning shots into the ground, scaring the suspects off.
“At least two rounds were fired by one of the suspects as they fled,” a press release from Lehi City said.
William James Ortiz, Christina Dana Ramirez, and a third unidentified suspect were booked into Utah County Jail Monday. They are facing charges of aggravated assault and aggravated burglary.
