SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) Police are looking for a serial carjacking suspect after a crime spree in South Salt Lake Friday.

Unified police say a man driving a stolen car crashed into Tire World near 600 West 2700 South.

Then he ran across the street, stole a different car and took off.

The crime spree finally ended near 500 West and 3300 South after smashing cars along the way.  Police say within nine minutes a total of 12 cars were damaged.

Witnesses says the man had a gun, but no one was injured.

“I didn’t see the gun… but we heard someone yell “he’s got a gun” and it was pretty crazy… I locked the door and made sure my customers were safe,” said Kolter Eager, witness.

Police say the suspect is described as a black male with a shaved head driving a blue Chevy van. If you have any information, call police.
