SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) A Cottonwood Heights man arrested in a large drug operation last month is now facing federal charges.
Aaron Shamo was formally charged with two counts of possession of Fentanyl with the intent to distribute.
Several agencies including the Drug Enforcement Agency worked on the bust. Agents recovered pills, more than a million dollars in cash and confiscated two vehicles.
If agents can prove the cars and cash were part of the alleged criminal activity, the government could seize them.
Shamo has been in jail since November 22.
