Trio of fires force evacuations near Kanab

Southern Utah

KANAB, Utah (ABC4 News) – Firefighters put out multiple fires that forced residents from their homes Friday.

State fire management officials said three fires popped up east of Kanab.

The largest one reached about 30 acres and forced the precautionary evacuation of 12 homes in the area.

Officials said the fire was sparked by a vehicle driving on a flat tire.
