IRON COUNTY, Utah (News4Utah) – State Route 143 was closed in Iron County Monday afternoon after a mudslide.
A storm moved through the area causing a flash flood making SR-143 impassable near the town of Brian Head.
The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for the area.
Utah Department of Transportation reported a debris flow from the burn scar area moved about 2 to 5.5 ft. of mud.
Crews eventually reopened the road after about two hours when debris was cleared.
