Police release surveillance photos after credit union robbery

ST. GEORGE, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – UPDATE: Police say the suspect has been identified. The investigation is being handled by the FBI, because he is no longer in the area. An arrest has not been made yet. 

Police in St. George are investigating a robbery at a credit union.

Officers from several agencies responded to a panic alarm notification from America First Credit Union at 2928 E. Mall Dr. just before 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say a man walked into the credit union, threatened the bank teller with a gun. The suspect never displayed a weapon and no one was injured in the robbery. The man was last seen leaving through the front doors of Lin’s Fresh Market.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid 20s with medium build and about 6 feet tall. He has brown hair and beard. He was wearing a gray beanie, black jacket, black pants and brown shoes at the time of the robbery.
