24-year-old Provo man found dead at Quail Creek Reservoir

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah (ABC4 News) – A 24-year-old Provo man was found dead at Quail Creek Reservoir Tuesday night, officials said. 

According to a press release from Devan Chavez, Utah State Parks Public Affairs & Communications, the body of Zackary Mansfield was found around 11:20 p.m. after a friend could not reach him by phone for several hours.

Authorities with Washington County Search and Rescue responded to the area and found Mansfield face down in shallow water near the shoreline at approximately 11:30 p.m.

Smith says the man was in Washington County working on a job.

*Correction* It was originally reported by officials as a drowning however, until the medical examiner performs an autopsy, Mansfield manner of death has not been officially determined.
