Serial Armed Robber Hits Weber & Davis County Businesses

News
OGDEN, Utah (ABC 4 UTAH)  The Weber County Sheriff’s Office says a serial robber has hit seven businesses over the past few weeks.  They say he’s armed and dangerous.  That is why several agencies across the Wasatch Front want your help to find him.

The suspect is a brazen, armed man who’s robbed places throughout Weber and Davis County.

“Usually we’ll see somebody try to target a specific type of business like a convenience store, but there’s really no rhyme or reason to the businesses that he’s hitting,” said Weber County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Lane Findley.

The suspect description is vague. He’s a Hispanic man with light skin with a stocky build., between 5 foot two and five foot six and 25-40 years old.

“He’ll walk in, he will start yelling obscenities, threatening the clerks, waving the gun around. Fortunately there haven’t been any incidents where there have been shot fired or anybody injured but theres certainly that propensity for violence,” said Lt. Findley.

If you encounter the man, police say remember, he has a black and silver semi-automatic handgun.

“Give them the money, let them get out of there. You don’t want to try to delay them or obstruct them in anyway because that could further endanger your life,” said Lt. Findley.

Police say the suspect has made off with small amounts of cash and that’s why they believe he’ll continue until he’s caught.  So far all the robberies have happened in the evening during closing time.  Police believe he’s in a dark colored sedan.  If you recognize this man or know anything about the robberies, call Weber Consolidated Dispatch Center 801-629-8221.
