RSL wins first road game over Seattle, 1-0

SEATTLE (ABC4 Sports) – Real Salt Lake finally broke through on the road, winning its first game away from Rio Tinto Stadium with a 1-0 victory over the Seattle Sounders in front of 39,508 fans.

Sebastian Saucedo scored his first MLS goal in the 61st minute off a pass from Daniel Acosta, bending a right-footed shot past Seattle goalkeeper Stefan Frei and inside the far post for the 1-0 lead. 

Nick Rimando made it stand up, making three saves on his way to his 140th career shutout.

This was Real’s first win in Seattle since 2012.

RSL (5-6-1) next hosts Houston on Wednesday at 7:30 at Rio Tinto Stadium.
