WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC 4 Utah)- Early morning conditions did not work in the favor of emergency crews Friday.
A medical helicopter called to the scene of a serious accident was unable to land due to weather.
The accident happened around 7:00 a.m. near 8400 South Redwood Rd.
Officer Scott List of West Jordan Police Department said a pickup truck was going north on Redwood Road when a car pulled onto the road to go west.
The two collided, causing the truck to roll. Officer List says he doesn’t know for sure if the slick roads contributed to the crash, but they suspect they might have.
“The side streets are snowy. You’ve really got to be careful. Take your time and pay attention to the road conditions and then drive appropriately for those,” Officer List said.
According to Officer List, the 41-year-old truck driver refused medical care, but the man in his 20’s driving the car was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with head injuries after the medical helicopter could not land.
Redwood Road was closed for much of the morning between 8200 South and 8700 South.
